Canal Ring in Amsterdam
In the 17th century, the Canal Ring became a very wealthy destination. Famous merchants, extremely wealthy bankers and other very well-off business owners built their magnificent homes here, specifically on the Golden Bend; the Gouden Bocht. This area is located where all three canals intersect with Nieuwe Spiegelstraat, southwest of Amsterdam’s city center known as Grachtengordel. Today, the Canal Ring offers shopping, dining, museums and many other attractions.
