JW Marriott Palm Desert Resort was amazing. My room was huge and spotless. The Layout had bed on an angle so I had a sitting area with sofa and desk, flat screen TV that actually received High Def channels, as well as a very large bathroom (walk in shower as well as a tub) - room also included balcony overlooking the putting course and the north valley with picturesque mountain views on either side. The bed was comfortable, mini-bar well stocked, and the staff was extremely friendly wherever I went. I didn’t use the pools because I was there on business but they looked amazing as well. The only downside of this hotel is that the resort is very large, so even the closest elevator was a pretty good hike away. I played the Palms Golf Course and it was amazing. The grounds were well kept and the staff was extremely friendly, cleaned our clubs after our round for a nominal gratuity and provided us with excellent services. Their were cool electric carts with GPS on them that provides hole distances and locations of other carts nearby - high tech stuff for this casual golfer! Lobby bar was always crowded however last call was usually around 11:30 pm. A Starbucks is also in the lobby, however a snack shop of some sort would’ve been nice. I had breakfast at the LakeView restuarant on site on morning, and the food was fresh. They had a made-to-order omelette station. .

Overall, I was pleased with the location, cleanliness, and overall services of the JW Marriott. The staff was great - always smiling and always helpful & friendly. I was most impressed with how well kept the grounds are. Look out for the flamingos in the small lake near the entrance. Try out the JW Marriott - you won’t be disappointed.
