The Best Food in Amsterdam…

As it is my first post on our new blog, first let me introduce myself. My name is Michel and I am one of Lastminutetravel.com travel experts. I mainly deal with Europe, therefore most of my post will be on this beutifull and exciting area.

I don’t want to write here all the story of Amsterdam here (although I might do that sometime else…). It is more like few tips for travelers who are also  food lovers…

Street Food-

For Street food lovers my favorite for Amsterdam is Raw Herring and French Fries.

You must try some pickled raw- herring with onions like the locals do, you can find it everywhere in Amsterdam but I recommend the stall in the open-air Nieuw Markt , the taste of the North Sea is offered in bread like a sandwich ( EUR2,5) or just simple on a paper plate .

French Fries-

Is sold in large cones , with Mayonnaise , these fries they are big, crispy( but nit too much) , tasty.

The one in Reguliersbreestraat, not far from Rembrandtsplein, also offers a variety of sauces and toppings..
